The Accorhotels Arena has an extremely unique design with fields of sloping grass on the outside of the building. It looks like a cross between a hobbit house and nuclear power station.

History

Construction started for Palais omnisports de Paris-Bercy February 1981 but wouldn’t be finished until 3 years later, and opened 3 February 1984.

This truly is the definition of a multi-use arena and in it’s existence has hosted professional events for concerts, boxing, tennis, handball, basketball, ice hockey and athletics. Not forgetting Esports of course!

It hosted it’s first Esports event in 2017, hosting the League of Legends EU LCS 2017 Summer Playoffs. It would then go on to host the League of Legends World Championship in 2019.
